NaNoWriMo

IT'S COMING!!!

Everyone get ready for National Novel Writing Month!

For those of you who don't know, NaNoWriMo is a (sort of) contest for all ages where you write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. Before you start freaking out, wait. It's just for fun and it kind of helps to get it all out on paper as soon as it comes to mind. Everyone knows that whatever they write isn't going to be of the best quality. In fact, it will probably be the exact opposite. But! It's still pretty cool and you get the satisfaction of knowing that you just wrote a freaking novel.

So this year, I'm taking the challenge. For one month my grades will be below average and my friends will wonder if I'm still alive. For one month I shall squeeze out of my brain at least 1,667 words a day. For one month I will ignore my internal editor scrutinizing every word I type/write. And for one month people will cringe at the bags under my eyes.... It's gonna be great!

I know it's just now September, but I am so pumped! It'll be great to just write instead of worrying about the details. I think it's going to be a fun and agonizing ride, like a roller coaster. As long as I take off the spell check....
