Back Again

Florida was great, though it rained a lot there! I shared a hotel room with four other people. We were all friends so everything was cool, right? Well, there were five girls and one bathroom. I'll let you do the math. Besides going to the beach and hangin' at the surf shops, we went to the National Museum of Naval Aviation. There was some cool stuff there, including the last flying boat and the Blue Angels. I would love to show you the pics I got, but my camera is in the car and it's late. I'll put them in the next post for sure (Procrastinating? Yes.). Anyways, it was a lot of fun, and I wish I could've stayed longer...

Speaking of something I wish lasted longer, summer is sadly coming to an end as well. I really need to wrap up my SRAs and get as much writing in as I can before schoolwork starts intruding my home. To make things worse, it's also a new school. And H-U-G-E. So that'll be fun. To all the other writers out there still in school: my heart goes out to you.

My computer is being especially annoying tonight....

Is anyone else kind of freaked out by the preview of Rise of the Planet of the Apes? I don't know why, but it scares me a little. I mean, what if something like that actually happened? Ah, well. It's probably just me.

Well, until next post!

Summer Blues...or Not

I don't know about you, but if you get over practically melting after taking two steps outside, summer has been really great! And next week, I'll be in Florida from Monday-Thursday night. Can't wait for the beach! Unfortunately, that means another week of getting nothing done when it comes to writing. And I still haven't seen the last Harry Potter movie ;_; ! Oh, well. I'm sure I'll figure something out...

I hope your having an awesome summer as well! If not, I'm sure this British guy can cheer you up! O_O Play it!

And according to my stats, I've had a visitor from Germany, Thailand, and a lot from the US of A! But don't worry, I only know your country, not your street address. Or do I? Nope. This is a pretty stalker-free blog so don't worry :) (I'm using a lot of smileys in this post...)

I am so very much dying to share my writing with you! But I have no copyright and am very protective of it, so it stays in my notepad. Maybe after I've copyrighted the first few chapters, I will show them to you. Hmm....

Well, bye bye for now!

Sorry Guys!

Sorry for leaving you hanging, but I've had no WiFi since Monday (Well I had it yesterday, but I was too tired to do much.). I went down to the Gulf of Mexico on a 4-H trip called Marsh Maneuvers. 16 country kids + 4 pretty cool adults + lots of wildlife = a whole lot of fun. Each day we ran on 4-6 hours of sleep, but you couldn't tell once we got moving. We saw at least 50 gators before I stopped counting! We went crabbing as well with what was basically raw chicken on a string. The crabs we caught were yummy. It was a blast! Most of the people there were strangers, but we bonded like a family. I miss them right now! I guess you'd had to have been there to know what I mean, though ;)

Anyways, I'm here now and back on task. I'm determined to be deep into my first book by the fast-approaching end of summer. I brainstormed on the Gulf, so I have a few more ideas swimming around in my head. Wish me luck, and I hope my fellow writers also meet their goals!

On another note, can't wait to see the last Harry Potter movie! I'm so sad it's ending, but excited to see it if that makes sense. Argh!

Plotting Problems...

Plotting, outlining, or whatever you want to call it is complicated. It's especially challenging doing it for a series of books. And unfortunately, I'm still at that stage with mine. To my comfort, though, J.K. Rowling took years and years just to set up the Harry Potter series and we all know how that turned out ;). Also, the person that created The Snowflake Method was a freaking genius! I use it to plot my entire series, and then the individual books. If you want to check it out, click here. But I know everyone has their own style and some of you can just launch into a story blindly and come out with a great piece! Whatever works, eh?

Does anyone know how to get rid of a dead-squirrel smell? It smells like that in my front yard for some reason...

I went swimming today, and now I'm red as a lobster. And only on the tops of my arms, with the bottoms as white as ever. The bad thing is that I'm going to the funeral of a relative I've just recently heard of. So now I'm going up to mostly complete strangers with them thinking, "Shouldn't that tomato be at the salad bar?" I know I shouldn't care (and I don't usually), but it looks kind of odd with black clothes. And the fact that I didn't know this guy also bothers me. Makes me feel a little bad y'know? Poor guy...

Well, my two followers, looks like this is it for today. Feel free to comment or play with my many-colored fish :)

Happy 4th of July in the 11th Year of the 21st Century!

*************Happy 235th Birthday America!**************

The short version: Happy Independence Day! Have fun you pyromaniacs and lovers of BBQ! *Cue anthem.* Unfortunately, my neck of the woods is under a burn ban (the funny thing is, it just started raining), so I saw the show on TV. It was great! And my stomach is bursting from all the yummy foods!

And a special shout-out to the troops!
We salute you!
I haven't done any writing all day, though, and I feel like a total bum...but my pool is set up! I can't believe we hadn't cleaned it for a year. It was all green and slimy and smelled real bad, which made it horrible to clean. You can bet I took a shower!

*Snore Alert!*
And my summer reading assignment is almost completely planned out. To Kill a Mockingbird is surprisingly an easy read, and my character analysis on Atticus Finch is going great! The first part of the book was a little confusing, but that might have to do with my impatience :3 The Lord of the Flies, however, is almost written in Old English and has me rereading some things...Anyone else have any of these problems???

Aren't babies so squishy?! I just want to poke them and look at their tiny, pudgy toes! Well, I guess that concludes my random moment of the day...

And thanks for following me guys! Didn't think I'd forget you, huh? ;)
